2011 Events

The dates for events in 2011 have been added to the Google Calendars. These include dates for gradings, the SKA Open Day and SKA Kata Courses.

Extra training: Monday 7th February

There will be another extra training session on Monday 7th February. Following the normal training at Kelsey Kerridge, there will be an hour from 9.30 to 10.30 focussing on the performance and applications of the kata Bassai Dai. This is a pivotal kata, and will be a very useful session.

New terminology quizzes available

There are now quizzes available for each category of terminology, available from the terminology page. The quiz is randomised - never the same quiz twice! This is of particular interest to those studying for their Black Belt, who will need to know all of these.

Christmas Closures

There will be no training over the Christmas period, but we expect to see you bright eyed, bushy tailed, and ready to work off those mince pies in January. Details of the last training before Christmas and the first in the New Year are here.

We wish you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

Grading: 12th December 2010

Well done to all 41 students who graded on Sunday 12 December 2010. We have pictures and results.

No training at Kelsey Kerridge on Monday 13th December

Extra training session on 29th November

There will be an extra training session at Kelsey Kerridge Sports Hall on Monday 29th November, running from 9.30-10.30 (after the normal class). This will cover the performance and applications of the kata Heian Godan. The cost will be £26, to be split between those attending.

Netherhall School hall closed on Wednesday 27th October - now open in November

We've been told that Netherhall School hall will be closed for maintenance work on Wednesday 27th October, so there will be no training that evening. As with previous Netherhall closures, you can train at the Regional College the following evening, or adults could come to the Monday class at Kelsey Kerridge.

The closures on November 3 and November 24 will no longer happen and training will take place as normal, see this updated page for details.

No training at Kelsey Kerridge on Monday 4th October

Because of the Cambridge University Societies' Fair, unfortunately we won't be able to train at Kelsey Kerridge next Monday, 4th October.
