No Training on Monday 13th October

There will be no training on Monday 13th October, as we won't have access to the hall we normally use in Kelsey Kerridge. Training will resume as normal on 20th October.

Saturday class postponed until Autumn

The new class at Cambridge Regional College has been postponed until the autumn. Other classes are unaffected.

Brown and Black Belt Kata Course - Sunday 18th May

The SKA Brown and Black Belt Kata course will take place on Sunday 18th May from 11am-1pm at Southbury Leisure Centre, Enfield.

Early training on Monday 5th May

Kelsey Kerridge closes at 7pm on Monday 5th May, so we have booked the hall from 6-7pm.

New Class Starting from May 3rd - Saturdays, 3-4pm, Cambridge Regional College

A new class suitable for adults, juniors and families will be starting from May 3rd at Cambridge Regional College, Kings Hedges Road on Saturdays from 3-4pm. Come along if you are interested in starting, or if you already attend our other classes and wish to train more often.

There will be no training on Monday October 7th, as the hall will be in use preparing for the University Societies' Fair. Training will return to normal the following week.

Shihan John van Weenen to teach SKA Open Day

Shihan John van Weenen OMT MBE, 8th Dan, is the guest instructor for the SKA Open Day, which will take place on Sunday 20th October, from 12 noon to 5pm, at Southbury Leisure Centre. Shihan van Weenen was one of the originators of Shotokan Karate in Europe. He started learning karate in Australia in 1963, returning to England in 1966 and forming one of England's first clubs, based in Enfield, Middlesex. He is the author of a collection of definitive works on Shotokan Karate including the UK’s best seller, The Beginners Guide to Shotokan Karate.
