WHAT
- The 2025 Karate 1-Youth League Guadalajara is the second event of the season of the series of international Karate tournaments for youngsters.
- It follows the success of the opening event in Fujairah (UAE).
- After Guadalajara, the season of Karate 1-Youth League will travel to Porec (Croatia), Monterrey (Mexico) and Venice (Italy)
- The Karate 1-Youth League is a competition conceived to highlight the impact of Karate at young ages. Established under the umbrella of Karate 1, the Karate 1-Youth League is a platform for the development of youngsters in their quest to progress in the sport.
WHERE
- The event will take place at the Palacio Multiusos de Guadalajara sports hall.
- Guadalajara has hosted several major Karate events over the years, including the EKF Senior Championships in 2023 and 2019 and a Karate 1-Series A event in 2018.
- Spain is a major hub of Karate and one of the main powerhouse nations of the sport. In addition to continental championships and the World Championships in Madrid in 2018, 2002 and 1980 and in Granada in 1992, Spain has welcomed Karate 1-Youth League events since 2023, both years in A Coruña
WHEN
- The tournament is scheduled for April 3 to 6.
- Starting on Thursday at 09:00 (local time GMT +1), the competition will continue throughout the weekend until Sunday.
- The finals will be held at the end of each competition day.

WHO
- Nearly 3000 athletes from 80 countries have registered to participate in the 2025 Karate 1-Youth League Guadalajara. This tally continues the success of participation in the event of previous years.
- Over 2200 athletes from 86 countries participated in the opening event in Fujairah while over 2600 athletes from 76 nations took part last year in the Karate 1-Youth League in A Coruña.
- Hosts of Spain present the largest delegation in Guadalajara with 618 registered athletes, followed by powerhouse nation of Italy with 417 athletes and neighbouring country of Portugal with 191 athletes.
HOW
- The competition follows a knockout format.
- The event comprises 46 categories, and it is destined for competitors aged 12 to 20.
